Problems with getting pregnant?
Half a year ago we decided that we wanted to have children. Our careers were going in the right direction; the private life was also OK. My wife was taking contraceptive pills. Three months had elapsed from plans to actions (we’d read that we had to wait approximately three months after withdrawing the pills).
The general plan was to do the work quickly after three months and to already be happy parents after a year. After three months of trying it turned out that it was not so easy. We thought that something might be wrong. We had to examine ourselves.
My wife was examined first because she had planned a visit to a gynaecologist and this was a great occasion to perform such tests. Everything was fine. During the visit, the doctor told my wife that if we didn't want to have a long journey (in our town there's no laboratory that tests semen), we could buy an initial test online, but it was important to check the quality of the test. If it turned out negative, we'd have to visit a doctor and do an ultrasound examination.
So we ordered the test (we ordered it on Friday and on Monday we already had it. So that was quicker than going to the laboratory). It turned out that it was me who had the problem and there were no sperm cells in my semen. Without getting into details, after the visit, we began treatment. I ordered two more tests to avoid wasting time on visits to the laboratory. After all, if something came up we'd know about it from the test.
Finally, something did come up after six months. And a year later I became a happy father :)
